Artifical turf sales are on the increase as garden owners seek a lawn that looks good all year round and requires little maintenance. Even the Royal Horticultural Society's main garden at Wisley in Surrey is using artifical turf as well as as Kew Gardens and The Nationals Trust. The Artifical Lawn Company has seen a 50% increase in sales.
Artifical turf will never replace the real thing, but there are certain situations where it does suit. I have used it before when the client vrequested it and the outcome was satisfactory.
